The free plan gives the general list — the same one everybody gets. Paying adds the places drawn from your own description and the shapes a statement line can take, which is the part that makes something recognisable.

What the free list can and cannot tell you
Free tells you to go and look
The general list names the kinds of place worth checking. That is genuinely useful and it costs nothing. What it cannot do is point at the thing that is specific to you.
Paying tells you where to look, and what to look for
“You said you moved last year — is there still something running at the old address?” is not on anybody’s general list, because it only matters if you moved. And the shapes a statement line can take are the only thing that turns looking into recognising.
Whether any of it is worth keeping is not something this can tell you, on any plan. It has no view on your spending and is not built to have one.
People check the places they can think of. The general list widens that. Your own description narrows it back onto you.

Questions
About paying
Is the free plan a trial?
No. It is free permanently and it never becomes a paid plan on its own. There is no trial anywhere on this site — nothing here converts from free to paid unless you choose it and pay for it. That is a deliberate decision, not an oversight.
What exactly do I get by paying?
Two things the free list cannot give you. First, places drawn from your own description — if you say you moved last year, the list asks whether something is still running at the old address, and that is the one nobody thinks of on their own.
Second, the shapes a statement line can take, set in a monospaced face so it reads the way a statement line reads. That is the part that turns “I looked and found nothing” into recognising something you had already passed over.
What are credits?
Credits are units of service usage. They are not money, not stored value, not redeemable for cash, and not transferable. A monthly allowance resets each period and does not roll over. There are no credit packs and nothing can be topped up — if an allowance runs out, the only route is a higher plan or the following month.

Can I buy more credits when I run out?
No. There are no credit packs, no top-ups and no stored value of any kind. If an allowance runs out the options are a higher plan or waiting for the next period. We would rather be plain about the limit than sell you a balance.
How do I cancel?
One button in billing. No form, no phone call, no reason required, nothing standing in the way. Full detail on the cancellation page.
Are there discounts, referrals or promotions?
None. No introductory rates, no countdowns, no scarcity claims and no referral scheme. The price on this page is the price.
